Recently, shared medicine boxes have been set up in neighborhoods in Jinan, Shandong province and are stocked with medicine, masks and antigen reagents for people who may have been infected with COVID-19.

A resident surnamed Cui used his own supplies from home to set up a shared medicine box for his neighbors in Xinxin Jiayuan, a neighborhood in Lixia district, Jinan.

"I saw that a lot of neighbors in a WeChat chat group were asking for medicine for their children who are having fevers, so I thought I could share my spare medicine with them. And there are many neighbors who said that they have spare medicine at home and that they also want to share, so the 'shared medicine box' idea came to my mind," Cui said.

The shared medicine boxes are convenient and safe for residents in neighborhoods to use without risking interaction and catching COVID-19 from others.
