Fever clinics, internet hospitals in Shandong

Shandong authorities are ramping up construction of fever clinics and wards to help cope with a sudden surge of COVID-19 patients, local media reported.

According to the Health Commission of Shandong province, by 9:00 pm on Dec 12, a total of 1,061 fever clinics had been set up in the province's secondary medical institutions and above, and 2,012 fever sentinel surveillance clinics had been set up in community medical and health institutions, providing diagnosis and treatment services for patients with fevers and other symptoms.

By 10 pm on Dec 12, 174 internet hospitals had been set up in the province, providing online diagnosis and treatment services, medication guidance, appointment registration, psychological counseling and other services for patients with fevers and chronic diseases.
