Print PrintHanting district in Weifang, Shandong province has been ramping up efforts to spur its digital economy and foster high-quality development, according to local officials.
The district has launched a slew of measures to optimize its business environment and attract more leading enterprises and high-end talent.
Unionstone, a company that offers digital financial services, has recently moved its headquarters from Beijing to Hanting.
"I'm impressed with the sincerity, work efficiency, and public services offered by local authorities," said Liu Jin, president of the company.
"Before I made the decision to move the company here, officials from the Hanting business promotion bureau visited our company and educated us on the local preferential policies," recalled Liu.
He said that Hanting also held a special meeting with seven different departments to discuss implementing measures to help the company adapt and improve its development prospects.
With the help of Weifang's new talent policy, Liu also attracted more than 60 talents to Hanting through entity equity incentives.
Unionstone moved to Hanting in August, completed shareholding reforms in September, and plans to be listed on the "New Three Boards" at the beginning of next year.
"We've formed a clear strategic development goal here," said Liu.
Hanting has also taken measures to speed up the construction of digital infrastructure, accelerate the digital, networking, and intelligent transformation of manufacturing, and improve data services, said one local official.
