The 13th Shandong Culture and Art Festival is set to take place from Sept 29 to Oct 25 in five cities, including Jinan, Yantai, Linyi, Binzhou, and Heze.

This prestigious event will showcase the innovative achievements, emerging talents, and vibrant new trends in Shandong's arts scene since 2021, playing a significant role in unlocking the contemporary value of Qilu culture.

A highlight of the festival is the exhibition of outstanding artworks at the Shandong Art Museum from Oct 15 to Nov 17. After a rigorous selection process, 240 exceptional works have been shortlisted for the final round, and 200 will be featured in the exhibition.

The festival will present a diverse range of performances, including large-scale and small-scale productions spanning opera, musical theater, dance, drama, acrobatics, and more. Small-scale performances will encompass various art forms such as music, dance, traditional Chinese storytelling, acrobatics, magic, and recitation.

To ensure wider audience participation, some performances will be broadcast live on online platforms, allowing people to enjoy the festival both in-person and virtually. This innovative approach will enhance the accessibility and impact of the event.
