In a bid to promote deeper communication and cooperation between Zibo in East China's Shandong province and Gunsan, its sister city in the Republic of Korea, Zibo Normal College in Zibo and Howon University in Gunsan jointly held the first "Super Leader Challenge" event on April 8.
During the event, students from Zibo Normal College crafted scripts with elements of traditional Chinese culture, while their counterparts from Howon University focused on writing scripts based on local Korean culture.
Through the medium of scriptwriting, students from both institutions engaged in an exchange of ideas, sparking the flames of cultural communication despite their different cultural backgrounds.
This event saw students from Zibo Normal College endeavoring to tell compelling Chinese stories, amplify Chinese voices in a manner that can be heard and understood by all peoples of the world and promote the global expansion of Chinese culture.
The event marked a shift in the style of cultural exchanges, transitioning from passive reception to active engagement.
Through the event, the two universities greatly enhanced mutual understanding of each other's cultures among students. The event not only facilitated cultural understanding but also laid the foundation for future collaborations and exchanges between the two institutions.
A student from Howon University said: "This event has taught me about the unique features of Chinese scriptwriting. Given the opportunity, I would also like to visit Zibo and personally experience the charm of Chinese script culture with my friends."
