The 33rd Heze International Peony Cultural Tourism Festival kicked off on April 8, showcasing peony culture events that resonate with the blooming season of Heze's peonies, with the goal of enhancing Heze's global presence.

Elia George Kaiyamo, ambassador of the Republic of Namibia to China, conveyed his heartfelt wishes for the success of this magnificent event. He emphasized the peony's pivotal role in diplomatic relations, expressing Namibia's interest in strengthening cooperation with China through this floral symbol.

This year's peony festival also highlights two sub-venues in Changshu, Jiangsu and Japan's Shimane, underscoring the domestic and international influence of peonies and their significant role in China-Japan relations.

Keynote speeches and roundtable discussions were also held, focusing on peony-related industries and aiming to raise awareness of the influential Heze peony. These activities play a crucial role in boosting Heze's peony sector, showcasing its economic potential and fostering global recognition.
