During the 2024 Two Sessions, a special exhibition titled "Friendly Shandong, Remarkable Shandong" was held at the residence of the Shandong delegation to the National People's Congress. The exhibition showcased 25 outstanding products from Shandong province in four categories: Mega Projects, Scientific and Technological Innovation, Shandong Handmade, and High-Quality Products.

The world's first high-speed maglev transportation system with a designed speed of 600 km per hour, developed by CRRC with fully-independent intellectual property rights, is a testament to China's mastery of high-speed maglev technology and engineering capabilities.

Dongchang Gourd Carving

This traditional art form from Liaocheng of Shandong is a national-level intangible cultural heritage item. With a history of over 500 years and a strong regional flair, the art of Dongchang gourd carving features high-quality gourds, smooth lines, and intricate patterns.

Lu Embroidery

Lu embroidery is not only a national-level intangible cultural heritage item and the earliest recorded type of embroidery  in China, but also the most popular type of embroidery in Shandong. Lu embroidery works are great at expressing the brush and ink effects of Chinese calligraphy and painting. The embroideries are elegant and refined, with a realistic texture.

Dong'e Ejiao

Dong'e Ejiao, a traditional Chinese medicine made from donkey hide, traces its origins to Dong'e county in Liaocheng, Shandong. Liaocheng's Dong'e Ejiao Co Ltd, a national comprehensive new drug R&D technology demonstration enterprise, is mainly engaged in the R&D, production, and sales of ejiao and a series of traditional Chinese medicines (TCM), health care products, and food. In addition to the domestic market, its products are also exported to Southeast Asia, Europe, America and more than 10 other countries and regions.

Pingyin Rose

A representative of traditional Chinese roses and a specialty of Pingyin county in Jinan, Shandong, Pingyin roses are large with thick petals, bright colors, and a strong fragrance. They are known for their excellent quality. Currently, 140 derivative products are available in eight categories - rose tea, rose sauce, rose wine, rose pastries, rose cosmetics, rose drinks, rose essential oil, and rose cultural and creative products.
