Weifang, a city in Shandong province, showcased its cultural vibrancy with the 2024 Rural Cultural and Tourism Festival, aiming to invigorate rural areas and foster cultural exchange.

The event in Weifang commenced on Jan 20 in its Hanting district, featuring diverse activities to enrich the lives of rural residents and contribute to the region's rejuvenation.

Over 120 participants, including national intangible cultural heritage experts, inheritors, and media representatives were present during the launch. The festival offered a spectrum of experiences, from the new year paintings activity launch ceremony to an exhibition of fine painting art and dynamic showcases of other intangible cultural heritage performances.

Visitors enjoy the exhibition of its printing techniques and exchange ideas with inheritors. Interactive shows featuring dragon dances, folk dance performances, and calligraphy by esteemed artists, also have amplified the festive atmosphere.

The market buzzed with activity, where traditional shops welcomed guests with colorful kites and more handmade products. Streets adorned with decorations and regional specialties have further enriched the festival's ambiance.
