Shandong, where ancient history meets vibrant culture, offers a captivating blend of historical sites, picturesque landscapes, and rich traditions. The province is now hosting the Shandong Rural Culture and Tourism Festival, which invites visitors form home and abroad to explore its rural areas during the Spring Festival.

From captivating dragon dances to local delicacies, visitors can immerse themselves in the vibrant traditions and timeless beauty of Shandong's countryside. Visitors can explore the province's quaint villages, authentic flavors, and rich cultural heritage items during this unforgettable festive period.

To provide ample opportunities to visitors, the festival, which runs from Jan 18 to March 11, features three phases:

Phase I (Jan 18 - Feb 2): Cities across the province are joining forces to organize a New Year gala that promotes local products. They will also be hosting several other online and offline events.

Phase II (Feb 3 - Feb 17): Villages will stage a folk cultural extravaganza to build up the festive atmosphere for the Spring Festival.

Phase III (Feb 18 - March 11): More village activities, including concerts and Lantern Festival celebrations, will take place, highlighting Shandong's cultural richness. Discounts at public venues and local businesses will also be released to enhance the travel experience.
