Shandong polishes brand strategy

Shandong has in recent years been ramping up efforts to build regional public brands centered around the "Friendly Shandong, Remarkable Shandong" theme so that it can become a calling card for Shandong's high-quality development.
The province has cultivated a range of well-known brands across several sectors including manufacturing, tourism, culture, agriculture and food.
An agricultural powerhouse, Shandong's total agricultural output value has been the highest in China for many years thanks to its fertile soil, abundant water resources, and favorable climate.
Shandong is renowned for its high-quality and diverse agricultural products, including Shouguang vegetables, Yantai apples, Zhanhua winter jujube, Zhangqiu scallions, Jinxiang garlic, Laiyang pears, Jiaozhou Chinese cabbages and Feicheng peaches.
The province's advanced agricultural technologies and efficient farming practices have contributed to its position as a leading agricultural producer in the country.

A large industrial province, Shandong is home to all 41 major industrial categories. It is particularly known for its heavy machinery manufacturing companies like Sinotruk and Weichai Group.
It is also home to well-established companies in the electronics sector such as Goertek, Haier and Hisense, which have gained global recognition for their high-quality consumer electronics.
Shandong, the hometown of philosophers Confucius and Mencius, also has abundant cultural and tourism resources. With a history dating back thousands of years, Shandong is home to renowned cultural sites such as the majestic Mount Tai and the ancient city of Qufu, with its well-preserved Temple and Cemetery of Confucius and the Kong Family Mansion.
