Shandong province, relying on its unique natural conditions, has produced distinct farm products such as Shouguang vegetables, Jinxiang garlic, Zhangqiu scallions, Zhanhua winter dates and Yantai apples.

The province has been working to build renowned brands, provide excellent services, and enhance the quality of its products. "Friendly Shandong, Remarkable Shandong" has become the slogan for Shandong's high-quality development.

Guided by the Shandong Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, more and more local specialties are becoming popular and being exported to foreign countries, contributing to rural vitalization.

Garlic from Jinxiang county in Jining is being exported to more than 170 countries and regions around the world, accounting for over 70 percent of all Chinese garlic exports.

The frozen vegetables produced by Shandong Qingguo Foods Co in Linyi are exported to Japan, the United States, Canada, the European Union and other countries and regions, accounting for over 50 percent of the company's total production.

In 2022, the total export value of agricultural products in Shandong reached 139.4 billion yuan ($19.49 billion), accounting for 21.3 percent of the national total. Shandong has been leading the country in agricultural product exports for the past 24 years.
