The Ninth Nishan Forum on World Civilizations took place in Qufu, Shandong province from Sept 26 to 28, bringing together participants from over 70 countries and regions, including over 300 foreign guests such as politicians, representatives from international organizations, diplomats in China, experts and scholars.

This year's event featured one main forum and 13 parallel sub-forums and saw the release of a report on the coexistence of different civilization and the global civilization development, and another report on the development of Confucianism in the past decade.
