The "History of Rose" photos and videos collection event was launched in Sofia, Bulgaria, on June 29, with the aim of collecting rose-themed artworks.

A short video about the historical connection between Shandong and Bulgaria was played at the launch ceremony. According to the video, Pingyin county in Jinan is one of the main rose production areas in China, and Bulgarian rose experts had in the 1950s visited the county to study the local rose industry.

Snezhana Todorova, president of the Union of Bulgarian Journalists (UBJ), said that she expects this event to stimulate the creative enthusiasm of artists from both China and Bulgaria and make new contributions to the friendly development of bilateral relations.

The event was the first international cooperation project of the China-Bulgaria House of Journalists, which was launched on the same day. The China-Bulgaria House of Journalists is an exchange and communication platform built by All-China Journalists Association and the UBJ.
