They visited Guangyue Lou, or Guangyue Tower, a historical building that was built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and a popular scenic spot in Liaocheng.
South Korean Seong Bokyeong said he was impressed by the wooden structure of Guangyue Tower, which has withstood ups and downs throughout history. Liaocheng has been working hard to maintain the structure's original appearance.
The expats also learned how to write the Chinese character "Fu" from Chinese calligraphers during the Chinese Lunar New Year activity.
Mahesh Kumar Joshi from Nepal said that he was happy to attend the event ahead of the Chinese Lunar New Year and has gained a better understanding of Liaocheng's history and culture.
