The groundbreaking ceremony of the Yantai Bajiao Bay International Hospital was held in Huang-Bohai New Area in the coastal city of Yantai, East China's Shandong province on July 12. The construction of the hospital is expected to be completed in 2025.

The first phase of the new hospital has a construction area of 420,000 square meters, and the hospital plans to possess a total of 1,000 inpatient beds.

With the goal of becoming a "world-class, domestic leading, province-leading, and city-wide demonstration" hospital, it will be constructed in accordance with the standards of 3A-grade hospitals, the highest three-tier grading system for public hospitals in China.

After the hospital is completed, it will further optimize the layout of high-end medical resources in Yantai, and help the rapid development of the Bajiao Bay International Talent Cluster.

In recent years, Yantai has beefed up efforts to promote the high-quality development of Bajiao Bay New City. Currently, there are 17 new projects under construction in Bajiao Bay, and all of which have a total building area of 2.6 million sq m.

In the next three to five years, a number of projects such as the Yantai Advanced Materials and Green Manufacturing Provincial Laboratory, and the Yantai University Science and Technology Park are expected to be completed and put into use, and inject new momentum into Yantai's high-quality development.
