In light of the evolving COVID circumstances, East China's Shandong province has taken scientific and targeted measures to protect people's lives and health, maintain normal work and life, and ensure the security of industry and supply networks.

With a total investment of about 8.17 billion yuan ($1.29 billion), the project is expected to produce 150 million display modules annually after completion, which will greatly influence Shandong's display panel field.

"The main plant was scheduled to be capped by mid-June. After the recent COVID-19 outbreak, the local government responded quickly and helped us roll out targeted and scientific measures to minimize the impact on normal production and life," a project manager said.

"Closed-loop management has been imposed for 3,671 construction workers, with the regular nucleic acid testing mechanism implemented. Anyone who wants to enter the construction site must provide a negative result of a nucleic acid test taken within 48 hours before arrival, and a green health code. We also frequently sterilize and disinfect important venues and the construction materials," he added.

"We've organized officials to visit enterprises and construction sites to help them solve difficulties and problems arising from the pandemic," said Liu Feng, a senior official from the Qingdao Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee.

In the face of sporadic local COVID-19 outbreaks and the virus' rampage overseas, Qingdao has launched a slew of measures and policies to reduce the burdens for businesses, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises and self-employed people.

As the logistics hub in northern China, Linyi has 32 logistics parks and more than 2,000 logistics companies in Lanshan district alone, with logistics lines covering all cities above the county level in China.

Working with Huawei Cloud, the city has built a smart truck management platform using AI, cloud computing and other technologies, utilizing the whole process of vehicle management traceability and control, which effectively reduces the risk of transmitting the virus.
