Shandong has taken effective measures to ensure timely and sufficient production and supply of medical supplies to provide sufficient supplies for epidemic prevention and control in light of the latest COVID-19 outbreak in the province.

During the past two years, the production capacity and output of all kinds of medical supplies have greatly increased, which can provide a sufficient guarantee of materials for epidemic prevention and control in the province, local authorities said.

The province formulated the Work Plan for Ensuring the Supply of Key Medical Supplies under the Current Epidemic Situation instantaneously, which has sorted out a list of key supply enterprises.

Shandong has strengthened linkage and data communication between industry and information technology departments at provincial, municipal and county levels to dynamically monitor and schedule production capacity, output and inventory of key epidemic prevention and control materials.

Efforts have been made to guarantee that main transportation networks run smoothly, work and living continue as usual, and industrial and supply chains are secure.

The province has also strengthened the entire resource allocation and supply chain, actively assisting businesses in resolving issues with raw materials, equipment, transportation, and other production issues in order to maintain seamless supply channels.

The province has deployed medical expertise and critical supplies to places where they are needed the most and it has taken strong steps in such key areas as prevention, quarantining, detection, treatment and tracing.
