Print PrintLevePower, a machinery company based in Dezhou, Shandong province has donated three disinfection robots to Huanggang, a city in Hubei province and one of the hardest hit by the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak.
"The robots can operate continuously and can be remotely operated at a distance of up to 500 meters, protecting operating personnel and saving on time and disinfectant," said Chen Liang, a manager at LevePower.
The robots now serve the Dabie Mountain Regional Medical Center, a new center affiliated with the Huanggang Central Hospital that began providing services for novel coronavirus patients on Jan 28. It is known as Huanggang's version of Xiaotangshan Hospital.
Xiaotangshan Hospital, located in Beijing, was an "instant infirmary" hastily built to treat patients infected with severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) in 2003.
