A man surnamed Zhang, who has recovered from the novel coronavirus pneumonia infection in Huanggang, the second-worst hit city in Hubei province, recently sent a letter to Shandong medical workers on the frontlines to thank them.

“Thank you, nurses and doctors from Shandong, for helping fight the infectious disease in Huanggang,” the letter said, “I expressly salute all of you on behalf of the patients.”

Zhang also specially thanked Hu Meng, a member of the Shandong medical team.

“Thank you very much for your care and encouragement during my stay in the hospital. Please protect yourself and return home safely.”
