Youth cultural exchange boosts ties between Shandong, South Korea

Print PrintFrom Oct 10 to 12, a total of 10 students from Dezhou, Shandong province, participated in a cultural exchange and study tour in Siheung, South Korea, a friendly city of Dezhou.
During their visit, the 10 students from Dezhou had a chance to experience South Korean culture firsthand through a variety of activities.
This activity provided a platform for young people from China and South Korea to learn from each other, promoting cultural exchanges between the two countries. The students from both countries were able to forge friendships and broaden their international perspectives.
In 2005, Dezhou established sister-city relations with Siheung. The two sides have signed a series of practical cooperation agreements. In 2006, the Dezhou-Siheung Youth Family Experience Exchange Program was launched with the aim of enhancing friendship between Chinese and South Korean youth and deepening mutual understanding of each other's cultures. To date, the exchange program has been held five times, including more than 160 participants divided into nine groups.
