Located in Shouguang, a county-level city administered by the city of Weifang in Shandong province, Gucheng subdistrict has a long history of tomato cultivation. In recent years, it has become a modern hub for tomato production, integrating advanced technology and scientific research to boost the quality and yield of the tomato crop.

In recent years, Gucheng subdistrict has fostered collaboration between 72 seed companies, 181 agricultural cooperatives, and 12 research institutes, including China Agricultural University and the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. This collaborative approach has accelerated the development of local seed companies, promoting innovation and technological advancements in tomato production.

The region has witnessed significant modernization efforts in recent years. New infrastructure, such as tomato-focused digital industrial parks, entrepreneurial parks, and large-scale family farms, has been established. Modern agricultural equipment, such as water-fertilizer integration machines, automatic temperature control devices, and supplementary lighting systems, has been widely adopted as well.

Gucheng subdistrict is committed to ensuring the high quality and safety of its tomatoes. Strict quality control measures are implemented throughout the cultivation process, including technical services, production standards, quality inspection, brand registration, and fruit and vegetable labeling.

The region actively promotes the application of "agriculture + Internet of Things" technologies. High-standard intelligent greenhouses have been built, and an information-based intelligent monitoring system has been implemented in the region, which enables real-time, quantitative, and precise control of tomato production, further enhancing the quality of the crop.

The region's commitment to high quality and safety standards, combined with its adoption of smart agriculture technologies, ensures the sustainable development of the tomato industry and contributes to the overall prosperity of the region.
