The Shandong International Communication Center was inaugurated in Jinan, East China's Shandong province on Nov 26.

The center, which is aimed at promoting the province to the world and telling China's stories from a Shandong perspective, serves various functions, including content production, cultural exchanges, talent cultivation, as well as research and innovation.

During the inauguration ceremony, a slew of the center's major international communication projects were launched. A list of documentaries and cultural programs that will be rolled out next year was also unveiled.

Ahmed Nadeem, secretary-general of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union, said during his video address at the ceremony that he is looking forward to cooperating with the center and Shandong Radio and TV Station.

Shandong Radio and Television Station (SDRT), where the center is based, will leverage its advantages and integrate the province's international publicity resources to turn the center into a leading platform for international communication that has extensive influence at home and abroad, said Lyu Peng, Party secretary and president of SDRT.
