A governmental delegation from East China's Shandong province, led by Lin Wu, Party secretary of Shandong , visited Kyrgyzstan from Sept 7 to 8.

The visit was aimed at deepening cooperation between Shandong and Kyrgyzstan, and enhancing cooperative ties under the Belt and Road Initiative.

During the two-day visit, the delegation interacted with senior Kyrgyz officials, including President Sadir Zhaparov, Prime Minister Akylbek Zhaparov, and Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov of Kyrgyzstan, and people from all walks of life in the capital city of Bishkek.

They also signed agreements for friendly provinces and cities.

While attending the China (Shandong)-Kyrgyzstan Business Cooperation Forum, Lin said that Shandong and Kyrgyzstan's regions have a high degree of compatibility in terms of industrial development, infrastructure construction and market development, and there is enormous cooperation potential between the two sides.

Shandong officials said the province is looking forward to working with Kyrgyzstan to promote the growth of advantageous industries.
