Yuan Chun Hu, a vessel carrying 300,000 metric tons of sepia and lapa crude oil, recently docked at berth 602 of Yantai Port Crude Oil Pipeline Co, a subsidiary of Shandong Port Group.

This is the first time the 300,000-ton crude oil terminal at Yantai Port has received a ship with two types of cargo.

Because of berth 602, which has a length of 401 meters and can accommodate very large crude carrier (VLLC) supertankers with a capacity of 300,000 tons, Yantai Port's annual crude oil unloading capacity has increased by 16 million tons.

Currently, the west port area of Yantai Port has a comprehensive system for unloading, storage and transportation of crude oil comprising two 300,000-ton crude oil terminals, several 100,000-ton crude oil terminals, tank areas, a 1,200-kilometer long-distance pipeline, as well as railways, highways and waterways.

This further enhances the port's oil supply, transportation and guarantee capabilities, and provides strong momentum for the construction of a first-class supply chain system.

Yantai Port Crude Oil Pipeline Co also has other types of logistics channels such as pipelines combined with roads, railway and water transportation.

It has also strengthened two major brands — the "Yantai Port Crude Oil Smart and Safe Storage and Transportation System" and the "Largest Crude Oil Blending and Distribution Base in China".

To meet the diverse needs of customers and ensure the smooth dual-oil operations, the company provides customized unloading plans. By delivering both oil types to the customer's tank area, transportation costs have been largely reduced.
