Shandong Port Group (SPG), the world's largest port conglomerate by cargo capacity, was crowned as one of the first 12 study bases for enterprise cases at the Seminar on Chinese Enterprise Case Study Base Construction held in Beijing on July 3.

In  recent years, SPG has leveraged its advantages in port management and explored new ways of port reform and management, which has, in turn, promoted the innovative development of SPG.

Li Fengli, general manager of SPG, emphasized that in recent years, the group has been focusing on promoting transformation and upgrading  and bringing remarkable economic and social benefits.

The group has integrated many of the province's major ports, including Qingdao Port, Yantai Port, Rizhao Port, and Bohai Bay Port Group, to maximize port resources, eliminate regional competition, and speed up the construction of a world-class port economy.

Aiming at developing itself into an international shipping hub in Northeast Asia, with east-west connections, land-sea linkages, and global connectivity, SPG has endeavored to become a hub for smoothing out circulation and linking the world under the new development paradigm.
