Five expats from countries including Canada, Morocco, and South Korea visited the Mingfucheng area in Jinan and experienced the ancient charms of Jinan on Feb 25.

Dressed in hanfu, traditional Chinese clothing, the expats visited Furong Street, Baihuazhou Historical and Cultural Block, and Houzaimen Street, and enjoyed intangible cultural heritage (ICH) item exhibitions, Shandong ICH lion dances, Jinan's traditional comedy storytelling, and how to make traditional delicacies like suanzhan'er, a traditional Chinese snack with sugar coated haws on a stick.

The expats were deeply impressed by the various traditional courtyards, distinctive local customs and unique folk culture during their visit.
