Foreign envoy explores Chinese New Year vibe in Liaocheng

Nalika Kodikaranv, commercial counselor of the Sri Lankan Embassy in Beijing, paid a visit to Liaocheng from Jan 17 to 18, just ahead of Spring Festival, to explore the city's unique culture and to promote the mutual understanding and friendship between the two sides.
Nalika visited a traditional market fair and a historical building in Liaocheng. During the trip she experienced the intangible cultural heritage items of Liaocheng, learned about the city's folk customs, sampled the local special snacks, and participated in a livestreaming sales event to promote Sri Lankan specialties.

"Liaocheng is very charming city, with rich cultural tourism resources and specialties. We have a large number of special products such as black tea, printing and dyeing products and sapphire. We look forward to more business cooperation and cultural exchanges with Liaocheng," said the commercial counselor.
