Cross-border e-commerce trade has become an important tool to stabilize foreign trade and promote consumption thanks to advantages such as online transactions, contactless deliveries and the short transaction chain.

Shandong province has been promoting the development of cross-border e-commerce to further boost its foreign trade, local media reported.

The cross-border e-commerce industrial park in Jinan, the provincial capital, provide personnel training, operations, logistics, finance and other one-stop services related to cross-border e-commerce.

Xinchu Technology Co is a foreign trade enterprise that specializes in laser equipment in Jinan. At the beginning of this year, the enterprise attempted to run its cross-border e-commerce business repeatedly, but the online order volume was unsatisfactory.

Just three months after settling in the park, and with the help of professional support, Xinchu Technology Co's cross-border e-commerce exports  have exceeded 10 million yuan ($1.43 million), and its products have been exported to more than 20 countries such as Europe, the United States and Southeast Asia.

Currently, the Jinan cross-border e-commerce industrial park contains more than 40 enterprises, and it is now accelerating the construction of a product selection center to help more Shandong enterprises and brands explore the international market.

Cross-border e-commerce not only enables enterprises to sell better globally, but also facilitates consumers to buy globally.

Recently, the Hanlefang Bonded Direct Purchase Experience Center opened in the coastal city of Weihai, and offers more than 2,000 kinds of goods that include food, cosmetics and daily necessities, and customers can purchase items online.

Since the beginning of this year, Shandong has cultivated 15 provincial-level cross-border e-commerce platforms, 20 cross-border e-commerce industrial parks and 50 public overseas warehouses. The cross-border e-commerce ecosystem has been continuously improved, which strongly supports the growth of the province's foreign trade.
