The 2022 World Industrial Design Conference (WIDC) is currently underway in the coastal city of Yantai in East China's Shandong province from Nov 11 to 13, and an awards event for this year's excellent industrial design achievements was held at the opening ceremony.

A total of 59 industrial products were awarded at the 2022 China Excellent Industrial Design Award Ceremony, among which 10 won the gold award, including the deep-sea manned submersible Fendouzhe (Striver in English), and the intelligent Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-speed Railway EMU (electronic multiple units) trains.

The China Excellent Industrial Design Award was launched by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in 2012, and plays an active role in strengthening the innovation capability of Chinese enterprises, and increasing the global influence of "Design in China".
