Cooperation center for China-Pacific island countries climate change settles in Liaocheng

The China-Pacific Island Countries Climate Action Cooperation Center, which was unveiled on April 28 via an online climate change event, will settle in Liaocheng, Shandong province.
The center is jointly built by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and Shandong province.
The center will promote cooperation in climate change, green development and people-to-people exchanges between China and Pacific island countries.

Efforts will also be made to promote mutually beneficial cooperation between Shandong and Pacific island countries in climate change and other wider fields through training, exchanges, academic activities and foreign aid.
Drawing from its wealth of experience in enhancing mutual friendship, the Research Center for Pacific Island Countries of Liaocheng University said it will provide intelligence and knowledge services for regional climate cooperation.
