Developing Yellow River culture is of great significance for enhancing the unique charm of Jinan's traditional culture, and promoting the high-quality development of the city, said Li Qi, a member of the CPPCC Jinan Municipal Committee.

The first session of the 15th Jinan Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) was held from April 18 to 21.

Supporting measures should be been issued to help counties and districts in Jinan draw up their special plans for the preservation, inheritance and development of Yellow River culture, Li said. Creative artworks focusing on Yellow River culture should be encouraged.

Li suggested that Jinan should strengthen cultural cooperation and exchanges with Jining, Tai'an and Dongying cities along the Yellow River Basin.

More efforts are expected to be made to integrate the Yellow River culture with rural vitalization, cultural tourism, and healthcare industries to build a cultural industry chain, and foster cultural brands and cultural products.
