The country's first government service alliance for ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin was established on Dec 10 in Kenli district, Dongying, Shandong province.

Representatives from 35 counties and districts in nine provinces along the Yellow River signed the cooperation agreement via online channels.

The alliance is designed to further promote government services in the Yellow River Basin and boost economic development and trade between the eastern and the western regions around the basin.

All parties involved in the alliance will adopt both online and offline channels to offer cross-provincial government affairs services in the Yellow River Basin, and a total of 132 items will be interconnected and shared within the alliance by the end of 2021.

"The establishment of the alliance is an important measure to comprehensively streamline the administration and delegate power, improve regulation, and upgrade services as well as accelerate the integrated economic and social development of the Yellow River Basin to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the field of government services, and to provide the people and enterprises with convenient government services," a Dongying government official said.
