Around 6,000 whooper swans have arrived in the coastal city of Rongcheng in Weihai, Shandong province to spend the winter, the city's information office reported.
The swans migrate annually from Siberia, the Inner Mongolia autonomous region and China's northeastern regions and stay for around five months at the bay in Rongcheng, making it China's largest winter habitat for whooper swans.
