Over 5,600 entities from Shandong attend 4th CIIE

More than 5,600 companies and institutions from East China's Shandong province are attending the fourth China International Import Expo (CIIE), which is being held from Nov 5 to 10 in Shanghai.

According to the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce, Shandong has sent one provincial-level trading delegation as well as the Qingdao trading delegation to the event. The provincial-level trading delegation consists of 15 trading groups from its prefecture-level cities and two groups from the Health Commission of Shandong and the Shandong Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission.

Shandong will host a special event during the expo on Nov 6 to promote the province's cooperation opportunities arising from the signing of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership agreement and explore new room for international cooperation.

The event will include keynote speeches, high-end dialogues and a project signing ceremony. About 130 people, including senior executives and representatives from well-known business associations and multinational companies, will attend the event.

In addition, 69 time-honored brands from Shandong are also being featured at the expo to display Shandong's unique culture to visitors. These brands cover arts and crafts, gourmet food, traditional Chinese medicine, apparel and accessories as well as wine and condiments.

The Boshan National Cultural Export Base has an exhibition area of 108 square meters and is currently displaying ceramics and colored glaze products from Boshan.

Boshan district in Zibo, Shandong province has been included in the first group of national culture export bases to further promote the area's ceramics industry to the world.
