Print PrintShandong has seen rapid improvement in its international air cargo transport capacity, which strongly facilitates the country's international supply chain, said local authorities.
In the first three quarters of this year, the province's international air cargo throughput reached 151,400 tons, up 62.7 percent year-on-year and up 49.4 percent compared with the 2019 figure, hitting a new record high.

At present, the province has five airports and harbors of entry or exit in Jinan, Qingdao, Yantai, Weihai, and Linyi, with air routes linking to Britain, Italy, Belgium, Russia, the United States, Canada, Brazil, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, as well as other countries.
The development of international air freights have provided strong support for the construction of an international interconnection channel, which has improved the stability of the province's supply chain and industry chain, and contributes to the province's efforts in furthering opening-up, said local officials.
