A series of business promotional activities and project matchmaking activities will also be held to promote cooperation.

Shandong province has been promoting intercity cooperation among areas along the Yellow River as part of its efforts to stimulate domestic demand and explore new room for China's economic growth. Shandong is the only coastal province among the nine provinces in the Yellow River basin.

Originating from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau to the east coast of China, the Yellow River runs more than 5,000 kilometers, spanning the eastern and western parts of northern China. It coincides with the domestic section of the Silk Road Economic Belt.

The Shandong Business Hub is part of Shandong's efforts to make full use of its unique dual role of opening wider to the rest of the world and driving economic development in northern China.

Themed around seizing new opportunities for cooperation and embarking on a new journey of development, the 2021 Euro-Asia Economic Forum aims to bolster policy coordination using new opportunities for coordinated regional development and economic recovery to further unleash the potential of regional cooperation, as well as to promote stronger and deeper Euro-Asia cooperation.
