A forum focusing on intelligent manufacturing and digital technology exchange between China and Japan was held in Yantai, Shandong province on Oct 12.

The forum attracted more than 120 representatives from 40 Fortune Global 500 companies, renowned multinationals, and Yantai enterprises.

Agreements have been made between Mitsubishi Electric and China Enegy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group in green intelligent manufacturing cooperation.

Japan is the third largest source of foreign investment and the third largest trade partner of Yantai. From January to August this year, the Japanese capital actually used in the city reached $64.59 million, up 102.9 percent.

Japan is home to world-leading technology and product and management experience in intelligent manufacturing and the digital economy, officials said. The forum aims to promote cooperation between the two sides in capital, technology, and markets.
