Shandong village carves out own path to success

Lizhuang village in Zaozhuang, East China's Shandong province has been making great efforts to further its economic and social development. It has been designated as a provincial-level demonstration zone for its significant achievements in rural rejuvenation.
The environment in Lizhuang has been greatly beautified with bunches of Chinese roses growing along roads and in gardens. The village also has three squares for local residents and tourists to dance or stroll around.
In order to bolster industrial development and increase incomes for local residents, Lizhuang has formed a cooperative to make full use of the yards in residents' houses.

A wide range of businesses, such as weaving and dyeing cloth, opening guest houses, as well as making tofu, pancakes, peanut oil, and pickles, are blossoming in the village's courtyards. Edible wild plants in Zaozhuang have become popular bestsellers and are delivered to regions across the country through e-commerce. By selling these products to an increasing number of tourists, local residents have gained many benefits.
In addition, the village has created many promotion videos and held photography exhibitions to raise its profile and attract more visitors.
