Qingdao Port is located on the coast of Jiaozhou Bay of the Shandong Peninsula, bordering on the Yellow Sea and facing the Japan and Korean peninsulas across the sea. It is an international trade port and transit hub in the Yellow River basin and the west coast of the Pacific Rim. The water area of Qingdao Port covers 420 square kilometers. The port's business scope has been expanded from Shandong to provinces and regions along the Yellow River and Central Asian areas. Since 2014, the port has expedited its pace of internationalization and through years of effort the port has made remarkable achievements in becoming a world-class international port.
