Xueye Lake in Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province won the right to host the China Family Sailing Race this year, according to the Chinese Yachting Association. A total of 18 cities in China have won the right.

The event will hold 22 competitions in these 18 cities from May to November 2021. Jinan will host the competition from Sept 18 to 20.

Xueye Lake in the northern part of Laiwu district in Jinan is surrounded by lush mountains and vibrant forests, offering visitors an ideal place to enjoy the natural scenery.

The lake holds 240 million cubic meters of high-quality water and serves as the secondary national source of drinking water.
