Shandong to celebrate the Party's 100-year anniversary

Print PrintThe Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism will hold eight celebrations for the Party's 100-year anniversary, according to a news conference held on March 2 by the Information Office of the Shandong Provincial People's Government.

One hundred local revolutionary sites in the province will hold a number of exhibitions to honor the founding fathers of New China and revisit the history of the Communist Party of China before the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949.
Short videos featuring the stories of revolutionary martyrs will be created as well.
In addition, the province will call upon cultural and creative institutions and tourism enterprises to design and develop red cultural and creative products and promote them on various social media platforms.
Red tourism is a term used to describe tourism at sites important to China's revolutionary history. It is meant to help promote the spirit of the Party.
Shandong will launch 100 red tourism routes and education programs across its 16 cities to promote revolutionary traditions.
A total of 100 cultural performances themed around red culture will also be held across the province to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, and the province will promote the development of 100 villages with revolutionary traditions.
Furthermore, an event featuring 100 docents telling stories about the Party's history and theories will be staged.
Revolutionary museums, memorial halls, exhibition halls, tourist attractions, personal driving organizations, art institutions, cultural and creative institutions, and social groups will be invited to participate in the celebrations, and various promotions will be held to encourage more engagement from the public, according to Shandong authorities.
