Shandong province showcased its latest digitalization developments at the third Digital China Summit, which opened on Oct 12 in Fuzhou, capital of East China's Fujian province.

Shandong was one of the three main provinces to be invited to the summit. Its exhibition booth covered an area of 400 square meters and is divided into three parts, namely digital government, digital society and digital economy. The booth's slogan is "Digital Empowerment and Intelligence Benefit Shandong", and it features scientific and technological elements.

The digital panoramic map of Shandong was particularly eye-catching, showcasing the data service operation of the integrated big data platform, which was independently developed by the province. The platform can present real-time data from different government department applications which are linked to it.

Shandong was the first place in the country to begin construction on a comprehensive command platform which integrated relevant systems and data from all departments. It has helped unify dispatch and command and scientific decision-making.

Through the platform, Shandong can monitor the entire province from one screen and carry out effective management through one network.

More than 50 industrial parks and companies from Shandong province including Qilu Software Park in Jinan and a 5G high-tech video park in Qingdao promoted themselves at the summit.

Over the years, Shandong has continued to seize on opportunities to promote smart agriculture, smart marine, intelligent manufacturing and smart logistics. A large number of outstanding digital economy parks, platforms and enterprises such as Haier, Inspur and OrangeCDS have emerged in the province.
