New high-speed railway to cut Jinan to Yantai travel time

Print PrintThe new Weifang-Laixi high-speed railway is expected to be completed by the end of 2020, which will cut travel times for passengers in China's eastern Shandong province, according to reports in the local media.
Officials said the high-speed railway will shorten travel time from Jinan, capital of Shandong province to Yantai, a coastal city of Shandong to two hours.
The 125.7 kilometers long railway, with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, will play an important role in promoting transportation among cities of Jinan, Yantai, Weihai and Qingdao, officials said.
