Jinan to construct three high-speed railways

Print PrintThree high-speed railway routes will be built in Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province, to help improve the city's transportation network.
With a total investment of 106.5 billion yuan ($15.21 billion), the three routes run from Jinan to Binzhou, Dezhou to Shanghe county in Jinan, and Jinan to Zaozhuang.
The Jinan-Zaozhuang line will include nine stations, such as Jinandong Station, Tai'andong Station and Qufudong Station. A total of 264.42 kilometers of railway will be constructed.
The railway will be able to accommodate speeds of up to 350 kilometers per hour. The project will cost 57.73 billion yuan.
The Dezhou-Shanghe line located in northwestern Shandong province starts from Dezhou , passes through Decheng district, Lingcheng district, and Linyi county in Dezhou and ends at Shanghenan Station in Jinan. It is expected to be completed in four years.
The Jinan-Binzhou railway starts from Jinandong Station, passes Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport, Jiyang county in Jinan and Huimin county in Binzhou, and ends at Binzhou Station. It can accommodate speeds of up to 350 kilometers per hour. The project will cost a total of 32.06 billion yuan.
Construction on the three projects will start this year. By 2025, Jinan will complete eight railway projects, and the total length of high-speed railways in the city will reach about 600 kilometers.
