Shizikou village in Jinan, Shandong province has been prospering in recent years thanks to Wang Zhaopeng, a 24-year-old nativewho introduced drone technology to the village.

Because of these drones, the efficiency of local agricultural production has been greatly improved and costs have been reduced.

The agricultural drones have clear advantages over manual operations in terms of operational efficiency, the use of pesticides, water consumption and cost, said Wang.

"I want to promote the development of smart agriculture in the village as it can not only improve the efficiency of agricultural production, but also attract more young people back to village to help promote its development."

Wang, who graduated from a police school, said that he is "addicted" to drone technology and is determined to contribute to the village's development with his knowledge of the device.

Wang has also developed a science learning base integrating homestay, catering and outdoor training to attract more teenagers to get closer to nature and experience drone flying train in the village.
