CBA club Shandong Heroes gear up to train for a possible restart of the 2019-2020 season.

JINAN -- Top-tier Chinese basketball club Shandong Heroes are in full swing preparing for a possible restart of the 2019-2020 CBA season.

Altogether, 16 Chinese players joined the training in Jinan. Shandong head coach Gong Xiaobin told Xinhua: "When the CBA will restart is still unknown, all we can do is get fully prepared."

Gong said that there was no information about when the overseas players will be able to join the team due to the coronavirus epidemic.

The team started training on May 10.

"We are now focusing on the strategies and details like free throws," said Gong, adding that there is no plan for friendly games.

Shandong rank fourth in the current CBA standings.
