Shi Yong, deputy director of Qingdao Customs, said that in 2019, Shandong's domestic brand exports were worth 261.48 billion yuan, up 14.2 percent year-on-year and accounting for 23.5 percent of the province's total exports.

Private enterprises have been playing dominant roles in the province's foreign trade. Last year the export and import value of Shandong's private enterprises reached 1.33 trillion yuan, an increase of 13.1 percent and accounting for 65.1 percent of Shandong's total foreign trade.

Amid the ongoing epidemic, Shandong governments at all levels have resolved issues for local companies such as organizing work resumption, logistics, and gathering sufficient production materials and items for epidemic prevention and control.
