A company in Pingyuan county of Dezhou, Shandong province has adapted its production lines to produce urgently needed protective clothing amid the country's fight against the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak.
The company started production of protective clothing on Feb 15, with an initial daily processing capacity of 5,000 pieces; that number is expected to reach 10,000 pieces within a week.
Local government has launched measures to help local medical supply enterprises resume operations and maximize their production capacity to meet the surging demand for medical masks and protective suits in the country.
Local enterprises have also revamped their factories by either purchasing new production lines or temporarily adapting their existing dust-free assembly lines to produce crucial medical equipment.
