Weiqiao Aluminum Deep Processing Industrial Park in Zouping, Shandong province is a crucial component of the city's drive to promote high-quality development and shift from old growth drivers to new ones.

The park covers an area of approximately 212.13 hectares and has attracted 17 projects worth a total of 12.9 billion yuan ($1.84 billion) since it was founded in 2017. The projects focus on aluminum profiles, aluminum curtain panels, aluminum templates, furniture profiles, power cables and a number of other products.

According to local officials, the park will be built into a large-scale aluminum deep processing industry cluster with more than 20 enterprises, a processing capacity of more than 2 million tons, and an output value of over 60 billion yuan by 2020. It was designed to serve as a demonstration base for the fine processing of nonferrous metals.

Zouping's aluminum industry first began forming in 2001. After more than ten years of development, the city has become an important aluminum production base for the country.
