Intl copyright fair ends with fruitful results

The International Copyright Fair 2019 concluded in the eastern coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province on July 7.

The three-day event saw the inking of contracts worth 14 billion yuan ($2.03 billion) and drew thousands of visitors, according to its organizing committee.

Covering an exhibition area of 20,000 square meters, the fair gathered more than 300 exhibitors, including more than 50 from foreign countries.

Composed of six exhibition areas, the fair included a dazzling display of IP related products ranging from film, television, and animation to daily supplies.

Eight projects, including a 10-billion-yuan fund for the development of intellectual property as well as an animation industry fund of around 2 billion yuan, were signed at the opening ceremony on July 5.

Diverse forums discussing IP rights were organized during the event, with industry experts, government officials and enterprise representatives discussing how to better protect and utilize IP rights and create new marketing tools to obtain economic and social benefits.

Themed exhibitions were also organized, attracting many visitors.

Guided by the National Copyright Administration of China and organized by the Shandong provincial copyright bureau and the Qingdao municipal government, the fair is designed to promote the transformation and efficient use of copyright resources, facilitate the transformation and upgrading of copyright enterprises, and build an international high-end platform for copyright display and trading.
